When a label printer had an emergency requirement for some labels to be shipped to Belgium ASAP we had to act quick due to the nature of the product they were for…yogurts!!
We offered our customer with two options of transport to meet the 9am deadline in Belgium on tuesday; a Dedicated drive or a 9am Special being flown out of Heathrow. Due to the urgency and importance the customer opted for the safest option.
Our driver, Trevor, left the Astral’s Head Office in Dorset at 4pm on Monday afternoon. By 0110 the following day the labels had been safely delivered to the Danone production site just outside Brussels…7 hours 50 minutes before the deadline and saving a lot of wasted produce!
Just 12 hours later the driver was back in the office with the paperwork and POD delivered back to the customer.
